July 10, 2010---Alex/October at Kahbang & Route 66 Film Fests

Our short film Alex/October has been selected to screen at the 2010 Kahbang Film and Music Festival, August 6-14 in Bangor, Maine. The festival will be headlined by musical acts OK Go, Biz Markie and B.o.B. Very Cool!!! Check out the fest website at www.kahbang.com for more info.

Alex/October will also screen at the 2010 Route 66 International Film Festival in Springfield, IL September 17-19. We are excited to be back at Route 66 for the second year in a row. Check out the fest website at www.scfta.org.

July 8, 2010---Wild Blue picks up 3rd Place at Woods Hole

We are excited to hear our screenplay Wild Blue has been named Honorable Mention 3rd Place at the 2010 Woods Hole Film Festival Screenplay Contest. We truly hope to bring this to the big screen someday.

Wild Blue has also been selected as a quarter-finalist at the 2010 Chicago Screenwriter's Network screenplay contest. Thanks guys, we are truly honored.

May 15, 2010---Alex/October screening at Indie Incubator Film Fest

Come check out our short film Alex/October this Tuesday, May 18th at the 5th Annual Indie Incubator Film Fest. Screening starts at 7:30pm at The Original Mother's located at 26 W. April 23, 2010---Wild Blue Screenplay Finalist, Bar Bash Benefit Video

We are very pleased to announce that Josh's feature screenplay Wild Blue was recently named a finalist for Best Original Screenplay at the 2010 WriteMovies Screenplay Contest and the 2010 Beverly Hills International Film Festival. It's always nice to hear that our script was enjoyed by someone else. We hope to bring it to the big screen sometime in the near future.

April 17, 2010---Alex/October screening at Harmony Ridge

Our short film Alex/October will screen at the 2010 Harmony Ridge Film Festival, May 1st in Ambridge, Pennsylvania (just outside Pittsburgh, PA). Tickets and film info can be found on the festival website at www.HarmonyRidgeFilmFest.com

In other news, we have just wrapped principal photography on our latest short The Singer. Everything went great, and we look forward to having it ready to screen in late 2010/early 2011. Check back soon for production pics from the shoot.

March 17, 2010---Film Fundraiser for The Singer

Come out and join us for The Singer fundraiser at McFadden's on Friday April 2nd. McFadden's is located at 1206 N. State St. in Chicago, and the party begins at 9pm.

For only $20 you get 'all you can drink' wine, beer and mixed drinks from 9pm-11pm, and for $25 you get the same deal from 9pm-12am. Just say you're with the film party and get your wristband at the door. A portion of the wristband proceeds will go towards our film budget.

So come on out and celebrate with us. The more the merrier, so go ahead and invite everyone you know...your friends, siblings, coworkers, cousins, dentist, priest, rabbi, Santa Clause, The Easter Bunny and anyone else who loves to party for a good cause.

February 5, 2010---New Short Film The Singer Announced

We are entering pre-production on our 5th short film The Singer, starring Nick Roberson, Jennifer Scott, Kate Froehlich and Bill Redding. We will shoot The Singer during the first of April, and will start screening late 2010/early 2011. Seems so far away, but time flies when trying to produce a film.

We will be having a fundraiser for The Singer in the near future (date and time tbd). and we need all the help we can get. We are very pleased to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of Olive Entertainment. Thanks so much to all of you who have helped make our films a success the last five years. We look forward to a full production filled future and a promising 2010 with the release of our 4th short film Alex/October, and as we pursue the production of our first feature film Wild Blue. We are very honored that Josh's feature screenplay for Wild Blue was recently nominated as a finalist for best original screenplay at the 2009 Gotham Screen Film Festival and semi-finalist at the 2009 StoryPros International Screenplay Contest. These nominations serve as a great validation as we move forward with bringing this story to the big screen.
